Request a donation
Serving our community since 1929.
The Rotary Club of Port Washington - Saukville supports local nonprofits, schools, civic groups, and community organizations. Members raise the money at events such as Fish Days, and the club Board reviews donation requests every two months.
Who can request a donation
- Nonprofits and charitable organizations that serve the Port Washington or Saukville area
- Schools, youth groups, and educational programs
- Civic organizations and community improvement projects
- Programs that match Rotary's areas of focus: peace, education, health, water and sanitation, economic development, and the environment
The club generally doesn't fund individuals, political campaigns, or organizations without a clear community benefit.
What we fund
Donations typically support a specific program, event, or project, not general operating costs. A strong request states the community need, the number of people served, and how you plan to use the money.
Past recipients include Mel's Charities, Ozaukee Food Alliance, United Way of Northern Ozaukee, and Riveredge Nature Center.
How to submit a request
Choose one of two ways:
- Online. Complete the Donation Request Form.
- By email. Download the PDF form, complete it, and email it to contact@pwsrotary.org.
Have the following information ready:
- Organization name, mission, and contact information
- The program or project that needs funding
- The amount you're requesting and how you plan to use it
- The number of people or families the program serves
- Other funding sources for the project
What happens next
The club Board votes on requests at its meetings, held every two months. Depending on when your request arrives, a decision can take up to 8 weeks. If your request is time-sensitive, state your deadline on the form. We might contact you with questions, and we notify every applicant of the Board's decision.
After your project is complete, we might invite you to a Wednesday meeting to share the results.
