We continue to explore Rotary's vibrate history! As recently as 2009, Rotary International joined the U.S. Agency for International development, which harnesses our members business skills and leadership with USAID's skills to improve water, sanitation and hygiene. 2013 brought the "District Simplified Grant", which included global and district grants that we participate in today. At the same time, the "matching grant", "ambassadorial scholar", and "Group Study Exchange" programs were discontinued. As recently as 2014, India was officially declared Polio-free, and in 2020 Nigeria was declared Polio-free (today only Pakistan and Afghanistan remain as the only 2 countries with endemic Polio). In 2019, Rotary began its "Programs of Scale" program, which supports evidence-based, long-term programs with demonstrated success. The first partnership is Partners for a Malaria-Free Zambia.
