Rotary International has 7 main areas of focus. This edition is about disaster response. Rotary has more than 1.2 million members world-wide, which makes us an incredible force when it comes to helping out our neighbors in need when disaster strikes. Rotary also partners with ShelterBox, an international disaster relief agency that provides emergency aid and shelter to those in need. Rotarians work to provide supplies, funds, to reestablish day-to-day operations, and help to plan & implement projects in disaster-torn areas. Recently and on an annual basis, our local club has been sending the earnings from "happy dollars" and rounding up to make a donation to ShelterBox to support disaster areas.
